Wakefield’s Cub and Boy Scout Pack and Troop 172 were named as “Community Supporter of the Year” at the Wakefield Community Club’s Annual Banquet on March 24 at the Wakefield Civic Center.
From their award nomination: “Pack and Troop 172 have been involved in Eagle Scout projects such as cemetery head stone renovation, Veterans Park bench, painting local church parking lines, food drives, aluminum/paper collections, projects for the Wakefield Care Center, as well as local park and church clean-ups and landscape projects. They have also assisted with Memorial Day setup of crosses and flags, putting up flags on Main Street, and performing color guard duties for home high school football games.”
Cub Master Jason Jensen, and his son, Ryker, were on hand to accept the award from the Wakefield Community Club.
