Wakefield Elementary held their annual Halloween parade on Thursday, October 25th. Kids from preschool through third grade donned their Halloween costumes to trick or treat through town. The parade started at Wakefield Health Care Center where, due to Covid restrictions, the kids paraded around the outside of the building for the residents to watch out their windows. Afterward the kids were bussed downtown to parade down Main Street trick or treating with all the people and Wakefield businesses waiting to give them treats.
On Saturday, October 30th Michael Foods sponsored a trunk or treat in the parking lot adjacent to the Depot Museum. While kids trick or treated amongst the decorated trunks there was also ballots being handed out with winners for spookiest, most creative, and funniest trunks.
