The Wakefield Lady Trojan volleyball team is set to embark on its second season under head coach, Brittany Eisenmann.
Wakefield took care of business in a Jamboree game with Winside as the Junior Varsity won 25-13 and 25-13 and the varsity won in straight sets, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-12.
"We had a great night of competition against the Wildcats," Eisenmann said. "While taking a win is an accomplishment, we know we have a lot of work to be done as the season moves along."
Other than the second set of the varsity match, the lady Trojans took care of business in the jamboree.
"After our matches we discussed that we can't be satisfied with how we are playing," Eisenmann said. "Enjoy the moment but expect more out of ourselves."
Wakefield will head to Plainview Thursday to take on the Lady Pirates and Eisenmann thinks her team will be ready to play.
"The games here got our team rolling," she said. "Now we need to move along with our season and keep building."
