David Seay

Musician and Scholar David Seay will be bringing his program, Trains Songs and Tales, to the Little Red Hen Theatre on September 22 at 1:30 PM. This nostalgic program with songs and stories inspired by the US railroads is free to the public in collaboration with the Wakefield Heritage Organization.

Combining his passions for music, history, and storytelling David Seay has presented programs through the Humanities Nebraska Speakers Bureau for over 25 years. David plays over a dozen instruments, several of which will be utilized in his Train Songs and Tales program. Audiences will clap and sing along with David in this program of railroad songs and stories that offer peeks into the past from a wide variety of viewpoints. An upbeat excursion for the whole family that captures the imagination and features David playing guitar, banjo, harmonica, whistles, and even a sing-along or two.

Audiences are invited to attend the WHO Omelets Feed at the American Legion prior to the program and also visit the Wakefield Depot Museum, full of train memorabilia and working models. The museum and omelet feed will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Free-will donations benefit the Wakefield Depot Museum.
