On Monday night, November 6th a Lewis and Clark Conference Lewis Division choral concert was held at Emerson-Hubbard Schools in Emerson. The students spent the day learning from Brian Cook the director of Choral Activities for Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, and was accompanied by a face familiar with music in Wakefield, Deb Nicholson.
At the concert the following songs were performed:
‘Come Travel With Me’ and ‘Omnia Sol’ both performed by all students. The Tri County Northeast choir then performed ‘This Train’ followed by ‘Every Time I Feel the Spirit’ performed by the Hartington-Newcastle Mixed Choir. ‘Imagine’ performed by the Homer Mixed Choir, ‘O America’ by Laurel Concord Coleridge, ‘Louder than Words’ by the Ponca mixed choir, and finally Wakefield’s mixed choir performed ‘America the Beautiful’ to conclude the individual school performances.
The Lewis and Clark Conference Honor Choir for the Lewis Division was then named. Those students named to the honor choir follows sorted by their role in the choir:

Altos:
Olivia DeKok, Allen; Kaydence McCray, Hartington Newcastle; Aralynn Collier, Hartington Newcastle; Kylla Klausen, Laurel Concord Coleridge; Emma Sohler, Laurel Concord Coleridge; and Esperanza Del Angel, Walthill.
Tenors:
Gabe Olesen, Allen; Colton Victor, Homer; Bradley Lentz, Ponca, Mike Ney, Ponca, Jackson Pommer, Wakefield, and Mikkie Mogus, Wakefield.

The L&C Lewis Division Honor Choir then performed the songs ‘The Old Mill’ and ‘Come to the Music’ before the entire assembled students sang ‘Music Lead the Way’ to finish the concert.
This years traveling trophy, awarded to the school who had the most people attend the concert went to Wakefield.
