Gather your friends and family as The Wakefield Civic Center is being turned into a rollicking piano bar for one night only, on Thursday, October 26th. The event promises to be a high-energy, all request, sing-along, clap-along, Rock- ‘n-Roll, comedy piano show where the audience is just as much a part of the show as the entertainers. The show features two dueling pianists from Fun Pianos who will use all 176 keys to entertain and delight for an unforgettable evening. Table service, a cash bar, and limited snacks will be available to attendees. Doors for the event will open at 6:30, with the show beginning at 7PM for a full two hours of fun. Tickets for this event are limited, and advance reservations are encouraged.
The evening is presented by The Little Red Hen Theatre, as a special event on their 2023 Season. In addition to producing four stage productions annually, The Little Red Hen also regularly produces special events to feature professional artists in performance throughout the region – often in informal or non-traditional settings that encourages direct interaction with the artists. Previously, The Little Red Hen Theatre has presented such artists as Joseph Hall, Daniel Christiansen, Camille Metoyer Moten, and Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal.
Fun Pianos was engaged as a season artist not only because of their artistry, but because of the interactive and informal atmosphere at their show. “We are excited to have Fun Pianos perform in our area”, says Little Red Hen Managing Director T. Adam Goos, “it’s an opportunity to see and interact with some great artists in a very relaxed, and very fun environment”. The program is sponsored in part by the 2023 Season Patrons of the Little Red Hen Theatre and with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Tickets for the Dueling Pianos show can be purchased online at www.littleredhentheatre.com, or by calling (402) 287-2818. Tickets are $25 per seat, with discounts available for Season Patrons. Advance reservations are encouraged.
