This year, the annual Klown Days Festival will take place Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5.
It will be mostly filled with free of charge events for all ages, including tours, tournaments, games, and more.
The Festival will start off on Friday with several events at the Athletic Park Band Shell, including Jazzercise and a Cornhole tournament. There will also be the Traveling Tiger Tavern food truck and a DJ. These events will take place from 6 p.m. late into the night. People wishing to participate in the Cornhole Tournament may register at 7 p.m., or contact Cassie Stelling at 402-928-0630.
The second day of the Klown Festival will be filled with yet more activities all day long.
The day will kick off with a Triathlon by the Plainview Pool Board & Library Foundation. It will take place at the pool at 8 a.m. Various tours and tournaments will be held, and various food trucks will be present. There will be a Klown Doll Museum Open house in the afternoon, entertainment at the band shell provided by Dance Bright and the Klown Band, and the Chamber Street Dance with the Dillon Gaige Band in downtown Plainview, and the Premier Pyrotechnics Fireworks Show in Pride Fields, among other things.
Sunday morning will bring the Plainview Fire Department Pancake Feed and the Masonic Lodge CHIP Child I.D. Program at the Fire Hall, as well as a church service in the park.
The afternoon will be busy, with a tour, a tournament, the Grand Parade, and a free pool party. The Grand Parade will call for the participants’ registration in downtown Plainview at 12:45 p.m.
The Klown Festival will be brought to an end with a bull ride that is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. This event will start at 6 p.m.
The River City Carnival will be set up throughout the whole Klown Festival and will boast games and rides for children and their families to enjoy.
