Some of the visitors from Knox county in downtown Plainview

The Knox County Nebraska and UNL Extension offices brought a “bus” of folks from Knox County to tour Plainview last week for ‘Peer to Peer” visit and review of the community. Visitors from the communities of Knox County traveled to Plainview for a guided tour of downtown where they were told about the Downtown Revitalization grant program, the renovations, new businesses and tours of the Chilvers and Band Shell Parks with new equipment and upgrades. A “lunch and learn” was also held where visitors were able to speak with Plainview officials and business leaders. City Administrator Jeremy Tarr and City Clerk Courtney Rezlaff provided the tours and answered questions from the group. In speaking with one of the tour attendees, it was an ‘overwhelming’ experience to see all the businesses, storefront upgrades, street work, park equipment, new trees, and playgrounds all at once that Plainview has accomplished in the last number of years
