The Crofton City Council gathered on Monday, Aug. 23, and, after much discussion, voted to override Mayor Sharol Lawhead’s veto of a motion that was passed at the Council’s last meeting to take core samples from all of Crofton’s streets.
Specifically, the Council considered around a $250 limit to spending authority, but that discussion quickly slid into overall budgeting procedures and the agenda became rather fluid as the Council moved from issue to issue.
